Homless Man Arrested In Golf Club Attack

WILMINGTON (AP) ― Police have arrested a homeless man caught attacking another man with a golf club in Wilmington Wednesday night, police said on Friday.

Two officers were on patrol on South Market Street late Wednesday night when they saw the attack.

The 55-year-old victim's identity has been withheld, but police say he was bleeding heavily from his head when they arrived. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The suspect, Michael Rockhold, 44, has been charged with first-degree assault.
